Over the years, our beautiful and historic mill town has witnessed events of despair, sorrow and tragedy, some of which have never been told.

On Saturday 26th January and Saturday 23rd February at 7.30pm local actor Alastair Massey (who received great acclaim as Mr Rochester in “Jane Eyre” at Haddon Hall) will be delving into the darkness of the atmospheric Cave of the North Mill and guiding you through those terrifying tales of Belper and the spirits beneath! Wrap up warm as these stories are sure to send a chill down your spine.

Tickets for this event are £10 each which includes light, warming refreshments. Doors open at 7pm.

An illustrated talk looking at just some of the invaluable information, maps, plans and photographs of Belper held at the Derbyshire Record Office.
